SORAS GIRDLES
Martín Cortés Street

On a close-up of a cartoon inspired by Roy Lichtenstein we can see a young lady who is underwear! We do not know if she is fighting against a snake called Soras or if she is a domina handling her whip with agility.

Anyway, this sign was a hidden provocation to the moral and customs of the Spanish society in the late years of the Franco regime.

EL PILAR FRUITS
Delicias sector

The boring pedestrian has already a reason for his/her entertainment in this street. Seated in front of this fruit shop he/she must rack his/her brains to find out the result of this hieroglyphic in sign form.

The solution is:

A - "Taj Mahal Fruits"
B - "NATO Missiles on the point of launching".
C - "Nôtre Dame Fruits".
D - "El Pilar Fruits".

CLUE: The picture was took in Zaragoza

LUCHI HAIRDRESSER
Unceta Street

We suppose that when Luchi established and inaugurated her hairdressing salon had the brilliant idea to crown the sign of her establishment with oddments of her house wallpaper.

We imagine that in her house today shines an awful stucco while her hairdressing salon still maintains the luxury and modernism of her old wallpaper.
TOBACCONIST'S
Dr. Cerrada Street

Tobacconist's or supply spaceship?
SWe know the terrible consequences that entail the smoking vice for humans. But this risk is accentuated in this tobacconist's judging by the decoration UFO of its façade that gives us the impression of being seized any minute now.

TOMAS PUEYO
Unceta Street

If the tobacco addiction that we saw in the previous picture entails certain risks, the TV addiction causes other risks not less worrying.

In this case Mr. Pueyo a honest jeweller of the city of Zaragoza did not doubt in over decorate his shop sign by adding a sticker of the 'Teleprograma' magazine whose initials agreed with those of his business.

MARTA FASHION
Madrid Avenue

The case of Marta is another consequence of the use and indiscriminate abuse of television.

The silhouette that decorates its sign is inspired by the logo of Charlie's Angles..

WOOL SHOP
Delicias District

Maruja y Jesús have fought against the power of globalization.

Before the mark of a product has had more prestige than the charisma of its shopkeepers, the last ones put their name in the façade with the same importance as the mark they represented.

Today would be unthinkable a sign where you could read "MC DONALD'S - Amparo", "CHANEL - Noelia" or "ZARA - Conchi.
