AIDA NIGHTCLUB Ramón y Cajal Street
A mythical nightclub. It was a pioneer of stripteases in the transition years.
The picture belongs to the Spanish film "Street Dogs" (1979) where you can see "Torete" and two colleagues of him entering the nightclub in broad daylight (a small film error).
We want to emphasize in this picture the old entrance to the nightclub that nowadays has it access in Madre Rafols Street. The façade that appears in the film belongs nowadays to discotheque SPHINX another classic of Zaragoza night life.

BABY SQUID BAR Cesar Augusto Avenue
We were stunned when we passed by this corner and discovered this bar. The picture is retouched since at the moment it is in ruins.
Some informants told us about the name of this bar. The door has the form of a baby squid breaking of course the normative on emergency exits. The façade represents sea bubbles.
You can find here a picture of this bar in the first eighties (flea market included).

DISCO LIBRA Madrid Avenue
Disquieting zodiacal motif showed at the door of this disco-nightclub.
We do not know if this premise is open nowadays (the visit was made in daylight).

ONE TWO THREE BAR Oliver District
This bar was inaugurated when the Spanish TV program with the same name was on the top (1972).
Inside (we have stated it) it does not conserve anything that makes reference nor to Kiko Ledgard nor to Mayra Gómez Kemp not even to the stewardesses of the TV program. What a shame.
The premise is our better cultural reference of the Oliver District.

SOCCER BAR TORRERO District
In addition to the jail and the cemetery, the Torrero Distric also has a great cultural interest due to the existence of the 'Soccer Bar'.
Established at a time in which digital TV platforms did not exist yet and sport memorabilia was shaped on pictures cards of soccer players.

THE GOLDEN PRAWN
This premise no longer exists.
Impressive arc of entrance. We suppose that is made in stainless steel Totally Deluxe.
Judging by the picture below in the advert, the cosmopolitan Zaragozana society met in its halls.

OLYMPUS RESTAURANT
This is the façade presented by the Olympus restaurant at the end of the 70s, in "El Tubo" area.
Nowadays, the sign is less modern. The image also belongs to the film "Street Dogs", (our city is always present in best films).

SAVOY Coso Street
The high gastronomy and nouvelle cuisine reconverted in free buffet with popular prices.
"The harmony and comfort in 1000 square meters at your service"; "Ground floor: Luminosity, colour and elegance; First floor: sobriety, style and comfort." (Original Text from its publicity in 1973)

SEA COFFEE BAR San José District
It was first a pub, later a coffee bar, and finally a restaurant. It was always called "The Sea" until (we suppose) Sonia bought it and it was called "The sea of Sonia".
The passage of time and the superposition of signs do not impede us today to appreciate the modern spirit of its inauguration.
